Where to eat in San Diego

1. Cucina Urbana : What to order --- Tuscan wine; Draft wheat local beer; Salad: roasted beet, blood orange, yo-goat, cerignola olive, greens, cashew; Pizza: Foraged mushroom (taleggio cheese, truffle oil, braised leeks; Dessert: Flourless chocolate cake cherries amarene, ricotta "tartufo", feuilletine crisp; Macchiato; Espresso. This is farm-to-table restaurant, with great wine shop inside. Very nice experience!!!

Blanca (Solana Beach) by Chef Gavin Schmidt : What to order --- Roasted Guinea Hen (legumes in various forms and textures, nasturtium; Seared Corvina Bass (local pacific, brussel sprouts, steamed mussels, ink reduction, potato mousse, lobster bordelaise; Honey Parfait (olive oil cake, goat cheese semifreddo, tangerines, caramelized pine nuts, and honey tuile). We had a romantic dinner, out of this world!

Nine-ten (La Jolla, Hotel Grande Colonial) by Chef Jason Knibb : What to order --- Short Rib Panini (port wine braised beef, aged cheddar, onion marmalade, served with organic greens salad with champagne vinaigrette); Pan Seared Salmon with baby carrots, peas, fava beans, and peas puree. It was a great lunch :)
